Position: Senior Process Engineer

Job Description: 

Senior Process Engineer with expertise in technical analysis, performance of high-level engineering calculations, writing of technical reports, and other responsibilities associated with identifying and resolving a variety of engineering challenges in the chemical and related industries. Must be capable of working independently with minimal supervision while providing accurate and effective results.

 

Job Responsibilities:

• Perform various technical analysis' and calculations as dictated by the needs of our Clients

• Effectively interact with Clients to identify specific needs or requirements

• Develop / modify technical drawings (P&ID's, PFD's)

• Identification of deficiencies and areas for improvement in industrial processes and systems

• Develop engineering specifications for pumps, vessels, and other equipment

• Provide Process support to other engineering disciplines

• Mentor less experienced engineers

• Accountable for producing work that is accurate, timely, and complete

• Occasional travel may be required

 

Job Qualifications & Skills:

• Experienced as a Process Engineer in or related to the Petro-Chemical Industry

• Fluent in the use of Aspen simulation software

• Experienced with Relief Device Sizing

• Familiar with interpretation and application of Codes and Standards such as ASME, API, and NFPA

• Self-starter with ability to work independently and achieve results

 

Education/degree Requirements:

B.S. in Chemical Engineering

 

Top 3 Requirements for Role:

1. Minimum 10 years engineering experience in the Chemical (or related) industry

2. Experience in the area of Fluid Dynamics is a plus

3. Skilled in the use of Excel and other computer software used in engineering applications
