Establish cost tracking requirements from funding and estimates and monitor progress to evaluate productivity.  Prepare project estimates, plans and schedules by interpreting design drawings and specifications.  Work experience preferably in petrochemical/refining industry.

Ability to engage with relevant stakeholders to support the generation of Project cost information, identifying options to remain within budget.

•Finance point of contact for appropriate projects, ensuring relevant interface across stakeholders. Ability to review management information, provide business insight and work alongside colleagues to help deliver the support strategy and policy. 

Understanding of cost control, EVM, VAT and Foreign Exchange processes and policy. Preparation and maintenance of the annual budgets, cost control and associated accounting documentation.  Understand the impact of any changes to the project budget.  Providing input to the development of finance strategies to support approval submissions for projects. Contributing to the development of finance planning. Assessing the impact of any proposed changes to the programme/project budgeting. Ensuring that appropriate controls are in place and that any change or acquisition are compliant with governance. Ensuring that any changes to the budget are communicated effectively to an appropriate audience

Requirements include but are not limited to:

  • 10 years of industry experience. 
  • Proven Cost Controller experience. 
  • Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project) and Primavera.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, construction management or Business Administration or equivalent experience.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision; deal with aggressive deadlines and changing requirements.  Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Coordinate and monitor cost engineering activities and assisting in implementing required resources and systems to ensure availability of timely, accurate cost information and forecasts.

Position located in the Greater Pittsburgh area.
