CDI Corporation is seeking a Chemical Plant Maintenance Manager, to work at our client site in Beaumont, TX, to direct the Facility Centered Maintenance organization to install, maintain, and repair chemical plant equipment.

The Chemical Plant Maintenance Manager will utilize a Reliability Centered Maintenance program to schedule the routine maintenance repairs in a chemical facility.

In addition, candidate will (this list is not all-inclusive and may include other duties as assigned and necessary for the operation and management of the shift and overall plant.):

  • Supervise and Upgrade technical knowledge of a multi-craft work force of Mechanics, Instrument technicians and contractors to perform preventive maintenance, routine, and emergency repairs
  • Execute the plant Outage Strategy to perform annual Maintenance and increase equipment reliability
  • Maximize utilization of SAP PM as the computerized maintenance management system for Bill of Materials, Planning, Scheduling, Spare parts management, Mechanical integrity data and Cost management
  • Supervise the execution of work identified through predictive maintenance technologies such as vibration analysis, thermography, oil analysis, etc.
  • Supervise the execution of the plant lubrication program. 
  • Implement data capturing for Process Safety Information, and define Safety/Environmental critical PM’s
  • Establish KPI’s, maintenance procedures and policies to ensure the Centered Maintenance program is measurable, effective and sustainable
  • Manage facility sustainability projects such as corrosion under insulation, painting and insulation programs
  • Updates Process Safety information data management and MOC systems as replacements are made
  • Support all Environmental, Health, and Safety programs, policies, and regulations

Job Qualification & Skills Required:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Chemical or Electrical Engineer form an accredited university
  • 10+ years of experience in the industry
  • 7+ years of experience as a maintenance or reliability engineer
  • Knowledge in installation and start-up of both electrical and Instrumentation systems
  • Read and understand process and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs)
  • Knowledge of maintenance planning scheduling
  • Preventive and predictive maintenance programs
  • Provide technical assistance to and/or supervising maintenance craftsmen in a chemical manufacturing environment
  • Ability to work closely with both contractors and engineering personnel
  • Communication and Organizational skills
  • Ability to multi-task and meet strict deadlines
  • Work schedule is determined by the project schedule and the time required to support the contractor/s
